Transgender Health, Education and Advocacy
Gary E Cordingley, MD, PhD
|
I proudly educate and advocate on behalf of transgender and gender non-conforming
people. I have provided LGBT health education at medical schools in Ohio and West
Virginia, and I have lobbied for laws that treat transgender and gender non-conforming
people with dignity, respect and equality. I am a member of the World Professional
Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
With the kind permission of Katy Kropf, DO, I am providing portions of her list of
resources in the Athens Ohio area for trans and gender non-conforming people, as well
as for their allies.

Gendercraft: Helping Clients to Align their Gender Expressions with their
Gender Identities
Derived from a PowerPoint slide-set created for Rural Voices: Caring for Trans and
Gender-Diverse Communities, a continuing education conference held on June 7, 2018,
in Athens Ohio. "Gendercraft" is a term comprising the devices, methods and skills that
trans people can use to masculinize or feminize their gender presentations according to
their personal goals and needs.
